Supresta owns and operates two dedicated production sites that are foundational to our business. Although both locations are marked by state-of-the-art technology, it is the highly skilled, focused staff that puts our plants into a league of their own. Both locations have vast shipping and receiving capabilities. Products can be shipped and raw materials can be received by rail or from overseas.

With beginnings in the 1950s, our United States plant in Gallipolis Ferry, West Virginia was designed for flexibility and for the production of specialty products. With its update in the 1990s and a more recent expansion in 2001, the multi-purpose site now boasts the ability to commercialize new products rapidly and produce both high-volume products and specialty products. Our West Virginia site is significantly larger than its German sister site. It covers more than 40 acres and is staffed by a dedicated, interesting group of talented individuals who have a wealth of knowledge and who take great pride in performing their functions and look out for the best interests of customers. Supresta’s site in Gallipolis Ferry manufactures flame retardants, functional fluids, and numerous other phosphorus derivatives.

Supresta’s German production plant was built in the mid-1990s based on experiences from the Gallipolis Ferry plant structure. It resides outside of Leipzig in Bitterfeld, Sachsen-Anhalt. Modern and exceptionally efficient, the plant ranks as the most cost effective major organophosphorus production site in the world. Our Bitterfeld plant has more dedicated units, producing a simplified inventory consisting of three product families: alkyl chloride phosphates, biphosphates, and inorganics. The site is run by a skilled workforce of roughly eighty employees who have the customer and the business’ best interests at heart.
