Thomas E. Mignanelli, Chief Financial Officer and Vice President
Tom joined Supresta in September 2004. He has 30 years of experience—many of which are in the chemical industry—in finance, operations, and mergers and acquisitions. Immediately prior to coming to Supresta, Tom was with the Crompton Corp. for seven years, most recently as chief financial officer of the specialty chemicals division. His prior positions at Crompton included director of asset management and director of corporate development. In addition, Tom earned the position of Officer in the United States Army. He received his BBA from the University of Notre Dame, his MBA from American University, and CPA through Price Waterhouse.

Ely Bar-Ness, Vice President Human Resources and Administration
Ely joined Supresta in August 2004. He is a human resources executive with more than 20 years of international experience in world-class organizations and industry leaders, including Reader’s Digest, KLA-Tencor, and Israel Aircraft Industries. He brings global human resources experience having worked in senior positions both in the United States and internationally. Most recently, Ely worked for Pfizer, Inc. as the director of human resources, North America, for one of its business units. Ely holds a BA from Cornell University and a Masters degree from Rutgers University.

Mark Buczek, Vice President Advocacy and Regulatory Affairs
Mark has been with Supresta since its beginnings and joined Akzo Nobel in 1988. He is in charge of advocacy and regulatory affairs, a special position created in 2003 at Akzo Nobel to promote the use of flame retardants via regulators and industry peers worldwide. Mark was made the controller of polymer additives in 1990, and in 1993, he was promoted to worldwide marketing manager functional fluids. Four years later, he assumed additional responsibility of global account manager for GE Plastics. Prior to joining Akzo Nobel, Mark worked in various financial positions with Ingersoll Rand and FMC Corporation. He holds an MBS from DePaul University, Chicago.

Anantha Desikan, Director Research and Development
Anantha has been leading Supresta’s Research & Development program since the company’s inception. Anantha joined Akzo Nobel in 1995 after finishing his graduate studies and has held various positions in new product and process development within the functional chemicals division. Anantha has been in his current position as the head of research and development since June 2004. He holds a PhD in Chemical Engineering from Clarkson University.

Richard Hooper, Vice President Operations
Richard joined Supresta in December 2005. He has extensive experience in chemical plant manufacturing, supply chain and marketing. Most recently, Richard was the head of global operations for the crop production business at Chemtura, where he was responsible for six plants and eight toll producers. Richard started his career as a process engineer for UniRoyal Canada and has held positions of increasing responsibilities including director of operations for two plants in Bergkamen and Lampertheim, Germany. Richard has also had commercial responsibilities as global marketing director for the vinyl additives business and European commercial director at Crompton. Richard holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Toronto.

Robert Raymond, Vice President Sales and Marketing
Bob joined Supresta in July 2005 and brings a wealth of experience in marketing and new business development in world class marketing organizations, including Procter & Gamble, McKinsey, and Reader’s Digest. Bob began his career at Procter & Gamble in marketing and as brand manager was responsible for driving existing business as well as product launches. At McKinsey, Bob was the lead consultant on numerous global projects for clients in various industries, including pharmaceuticals, telecommunications, and consumer products. Bob spent 12 years at Reader’s Digest in various business positions, culminating in the senior vice president, strategic acquisitions and alliances. Bob holds a BS in civil engineering from Cornell University and an MBA from the University of Chicago.
